Very few things illustrate how dramatically America has been deindustrialized than the stunning decline of the U.S. auto industry. Once upon a time, the United States literally taught the rest of the world how to make cars. We were the ones that invented the assembly line. We were the ones that showed the rest of the world what mass production could do for an economy. 

For decades, we produced more cars than anyone else and we sold more cars than anyone else. Detroit was known as "the Motor City" and our manufacturing prowess dominated the planet.  But now all of that has changed. Japan makes far more vehicles than we do today. 

 So does Germany. As you read this, state of the art production facilities are going up all over China. Meanwhile, the U.S. auto industry continues to rot and thousands upon thousands of good automotive jobs continue to leave our shores. The rest of the world is making cars better than we are, they are making them cheaper than we are and they really don't care that many of our formerly great manufacturing cities are turning into rotting, stinking hellholes. The U.S. auto industry was once a symbol of American dominance, but now it is just a symbol of American decline. If we want to remain a great nation, then we need to start becoming great at making things once again.

Treasury Secretary “Hank” Paulson was the trailblazer with his proposal for TARP in September 2008. He walked into the Capitol with a list of demands—unlimited powers to hand unlimited amounts of taxpayer money to whomever—and threatened that the whole world would collapse if his demands weren’t met immediately.

When Congress didn’t go for it, markets fell off a cliff, and Paulson’s world of finance appeared to come to an end. So Congress approved a more limited TARP, which ended up being irrelevant compared to the trillions the Fed would hand out. Thus, Paulson’s extortion had worked—though the source of money had shifted from the Treasury to the Fed. It would be copied.

In November, just after the G-20 meeting in Cannes, France, it was Greek Prime Minister Giorgios Papandreou’s turn. With a single sentence about a referendum on Greece’s exit from the Eurozone, he knocked the world’s financial markets into a tailspin. His message: give me more money and larger write-downs on Greek debt, or else I will say a whole paragraph. It reopened the spigot, and money started flowing again (temporarily).

In early January, it was Greece’s new Prime Minister Lucas Papademos. He threatened the world with “disorderly default.” His goal: impose salary cuts on private-sector workers and ever bigger “voluntary” haircuts on banks and hedge funds that hold Greek debt. “So we can get the next loan installment,” he explained. Now Christine Lagarde, managing director of the IMF, has stepped into the extortion racket herself and threatened that there would be another Great Depression—the red line on the financial threat-o-meter—if certain countries and their taxpayers didn’t fork over more money. “It is about avoiding a 1930s moment,” she said at the German Council of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, “a moment, ultimately, leading to a downward spiral that could engulf the entire world.”

Iran: 'Stop Zionism from initiating new war'

This pressure on Iran is not justified at all as Lindsey German, national convenor of the Stop the War Coalition in London says adding that the recent report by the UN atomic authority IAEA said quite categorically that there is no evidence of Iran developing a nuclear weapon.

Lindsey German told the Russian satellite TV channel Russia Today that the authorities in Britain, the U.S. and elsewhere are ignoring the report provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and they are stepping up the pressure.

“The assassination of an Iranian scientist who worked in Natanz would be seen quite rightly as a provocation, and it would be seen as the work of Israelis and backed by the Americans. And the troops movements and the ships in the Persian Gulf, all of these, point to more pressure on Iran, and the Americans and the Israelis are playing a very very dangerous game here”, said the head of the Stop the War Coalition.

“The U.S. or , indeed, any other country should not be able to dictate to Iran that either they stop developing their nuclear energy program or they are threatened with war; this is not the job of any country in a civilised society. It should be that people respect the rights of other countries, and after all Iran has been subject to a whole range of things. Iran is now subject to embargos on oil, and embargos on petrochemical products”, Lindsey German added.

The national convener of the Stop the War Coalition said: “it is absolutely well-known that the only entity with nuclear weapons in the Middle East is Israel, and yet Israel feels it has the justification for waging an airstrike or possible other forms of attack on a country which it accuses of wanting to develop the same weapons that it already has”.

Lindsey German called for a worldwide campaign to discourage Israeli terrorism from launching another war in the Middle East region and this time on Iran.

Stanford scholar wants search engines to flag global warming, vaccine skepticism as thought crimes

Former fellow of George Soros’ Open Society and current Stanford University scholar Evgeny Morozov has called on Google and other search engines to become thought crime enforcers, by providing warnings about websites that contain “conspiracy theories” such as the belief, held by a majority of Americans, that global warming is not primarily man-made.

Morozov, whose biography confirms him as a well-connected insider, decries in a Slate piece how the Internet is a useful tool for “People who deny global warming” as well as “the anti-vaccination movement,” calling on Google to provide a “socially responsible curated treatment” that would marginalize such beliefs by amending search results.

His solution is to, “Nudge search engines to take more responsibility for their index and exercise a heavier curatorial control in presenting search results for issues like “global warming” or “vaccination.” Google already has a list of search queries that send most traffic to sites that trade in pseudoscience and conspiracy theories; why not treat them differently than normal queries? Thus, whenever users are presented with search results that are likely to send them to sites run by pseudoscientists or conspiracy theorists, Google may simply display a huge red banner asking users to exercise caution and check a previously generated list of authoritative resources before making up their minds.”

Morozov describes the potential that such a move will be judged as Google “shilling for Big Pharma or for Al Gore” as “a risk worth taking”.

This represents a similar argument to Cass Sunstein’s “cognitive infiltration,” an effort by Obama’s information czar to slap government warnings on controversial websites (including those claiming that exposure to sunlight is healthy). In a widely derided white paper, Sunstein called for political blogs to be forced to include pop ups that show “a quick argument for a competing view”. He also demanded that taxes be levied on dissenting opinions and even suggested that outright bans on certain thoughts should be enforced.

Giving companies like Google, which has grown to virtually become the gatekeeper of the entire Internet itself and is already engaging in SOPA-like acts of censorship, the power to denote which political and scientific positions are acceptable and which are fringe “conspiracy theories” is an insult to free thinking and smacks of Chinese-style thought control.

Morozov’s argument is also completely undermined by the fact that the two so-called fringe “conspiracy theories” he forwards as being in need of Google’s thought crime control, skepticism about global warming and the dangers of vaccines, are views held by millions of Americans and are not “fringe” at all.

According to the most recent polls, less than half of Americans now believe that global warming is caused by human activity, a number that has been slipping for the past several years.

In addition, polls show that a quarter of Americans, some 75 million of them, believe that vaccines are unsafe and can cause autism. To characterize this as a minority conspiracy belief is like labeling Catholicism as a doctrine of a tiny fringe.

At best, views about global warming and the safety of vaccines can be described as being split, but to claim that skepticism over man-made climate change and the dangers of inoculations are “kooky” fringe conspiracy beliefs, as Morozov does in his article, is brazenly inaccurate and exposes the agenda-driven bias of his rhetoric.

SOPA and PIPA Fully Alive -- And a New Bill Joins Them

Many of us breathed a sigh of relief when an overwhelming amount of Americans banned together and voiced their opposition to Congress over both the Stop Online Piracy Act, and Protect Intellectual Property Act.

Sites that dimmed the screen for a day or two have gone back to normal -- Facebook users have swapped their anti-SOPA images for their previous profile pictures. We may have even believed that the postponement of the vote originally scheduled for January 24th was some sort of white flag of capitulation. But that is certainly not the MO of most lawmakers.

While the outcry did get the attention of Congress, they are simply returning unflinchingly back to the drawing board to wait out our attention spans. Articles whirled that SOPA was dead and the bill was pulled when the bill's sponsor Lamar Smith said in a statement that there would be no further action “until there is wider agreement on a solution.”

Lamar isn't really listening. “It is clear that we need to revisit the approach on how best to address the problem of foreign thieves that steal and sell American inventions and products.”

Actually, SOPA is set to be reformulated in February. PIPA will be revisited with possible amendments in the coming weeks. Case in point, all is still open and possible -- nothing is dead, pulled, or cancelled. If that wasn't enough to keep us on our toes, a new, similar bill has surfaced.

Déjà Vu in the form of OPEN -- The New Anti-Piracy Bill

As an alternative to SOPA-PIPA, Representative Darrell Issa (CA-R), and 24 co-sponsors introduced the Online Protection and Enforcement of Digital Trade (OPEN) H.R. 3782 on Wednesday, during the Internet blackout.

OPEN would give oversight to the International Trade Commission (ITC) instead of the Justice Department, focuses on foreign-based websites, includes an appeals process, and would apply only to websites that "willfully" promote copyright violation.The bill pretends to only target foreign websites, while keeping Americans free to surf and post, but the bill's wording is wide open to pursue American sites. Just one example: when describing aninfringing site, it starts with those "that are accessed through a non-domestic domain name," but continues in section (8)(A)(ii) for any site that "conducts business directed to residents of the United States."

It sounds like, "in general," copyright holders will be the ones filing complaints to the Commission, but the writing leaves it open for any complainant to file. The ITC would still have the ability to coerce payment processors and ad networks to cease funding and linking the accused in question. Who could determine "willful" infringement?

Also, none of these bills had been decided before the U.S. Government took down New Zealand owned Megaupload.com during the commotion. To which, Anonymous responded by shutting down the websites of the U.S. Department of Justice, Universal Music, Recording Industry Association of America, the U.S. Copyright Office, Broadcast Music Inc. and the Motion Picture Association of America.

Mitt Romney was not a capitalist during his reign at Bain. He was a predatory corporate raider. His firm didn't seek to create value. Instead, like a scavenger, Romney looked for businesses he could pick apart. Mitt Romney and his cronies pioneered 'deindustrialization,' a process by which they searched out vulnerable companies, took them over, loaded them with debt, and collected obscene fees while doing so. He sent jobs overseas or killed them altogether, and then picked apart the remains - including pension funds - before the companies went bankrupt.

Some might call that the free market. Most of us think its just plain wrong.

Libya: Gaddafi loyalists take back Bani Walid

Fighters loyal to Muammar Gaddafi have seized back the town of Bani Walid and raised the late dictator's green flag, in a blow to Libya's struggling provisional government.

Reports said at least four people were killed during clashes between besieged forces loyal to the ruling National Transitional Council (NTC) and armed and well-organised supporters of Gaddafi. "They control the town now. They are roaming the town," one militia member was quoted as saying of the pro-Gaddafi fighters, according to Reuters.

Bani Walid, a former regime stronghold 110 miles south-east of Tripoli, was one of the last to succumb to pro-government forces after the capital fell in August. The latest clashes mark the most significant loyalist attack since Libya was officially "liberated" on 23 October. It appears further evidence of the NTC's weakness, incapacity and internal divisions ahead of supposed national elections later this year.

About 30 pro-government were reported to have been injured in exchanges of fire. Mahmud Warfelli, spokesman of Bani Walid local council, said 100-150 men armed with heavy weapons launched a carefully planned attack, swiftly overwhelming the town. Soldiers from the May 28 Brigade were pinned down in a compound and the attackers took up sniper positions in a mosque and a school, preventing the pro-government fighters from helping their wounded to safety.

Warfelli said the defenders' ammunition supplies had almost run out and he had had appealed to Tripoli and the defence ministry to send reinforcements. No help had come, he said. "We're out of the frying pan into the fire. We've been warning about this for the past two months," he said, according to AFP.

US election 2012: Mitt Romney paid even lower tax rate than previously thought

Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential front-runner, paid an even lower rate of tax on his multi-million dollar income than was previously thought, it emerged on Monday night.

The former Massachusetts governor released tax returns showing that he and his wife Ann paid $3 million (£1.9 million) tax on income of $21.7 million (£14 million) in 2010 – a rate of 13.9 per cent.

Mr Romney, who has a fortune of about $250 million (£160 million), said during a televised debate in Tampa earlier on Monday night: “I’m proud of the fact that I pay a lot of taxes.” He expects to pay $3.2 million (£2.05 million) on income of $20.9 million (£13.45 million) for last year, according to an official estimate. This would make his effective tax rate 15.4 per cent, around the figure he gave under questioning from reporters last week.

The figures show that Mr Romney's tax rate was almost half that of President Barack Obama's, despite Mr Obama's income being much lower. He and his wife Michelle paid 26 per cent tax on $1.8 million (£1.15 million) in 2010, their tax return showed. Newt Gingrich, Mr Romney's rival for the Republican presidential nomination, paid 31.6 per cent on $3.16 million (£2 million) earned with his wife, Callista.

The documents also disclosed that Mr Romney gave $7 million (£4.5 million) in charitable donations over the past two years, including at least $4.1 million (£2.6 million) to the Mormon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Exit polls in South Carolina showed that his unusual faith deterred many evangelical Christians from supporting him.

UK: TAXPAYERS FUND FOREIGN FRAUDSTER’S PASSPORT CON

AN illegal immigrant jailed for a sham marriage was handed £1,500 of taxpayers’ money to go home and used it to set up an agency selling fake UK passports.

Ashar Ali Rathore, 33, was freed from jail after just eight months to return to ­Pakistan under a Government scheme to encourage foreign prisoners to leave the country early. But once back he used the handout to open a business that offered Pakistan nationals passports, driving licences and British National Insurance numbers.

He had come to Britain with his wife Nadia Qadri, 34, on student visas. They then went through sham bigamous weddings with two Polish people in a bid to gain long-term residency.

Both were jailed last year for conspiring to breach immigration law – Rathore for two years and his wife for eight months. His wife was released after only four months but with no payoff. Earlier this month the Daily Express revealed that more than £4million has been handed to ­foreign national prisoners over the past five years under the UK Border Agency’s facilitated  returns scheme.

The scheme to pay off foreign prisoners was attacked yesterday. Ukip MEP Gerard Batten called it “Alice in Wonderland stuff”, adding: “Why are we giving people like this any money at all? We owe them nothing. He came here and broke the law. We pay him to go home. It’s madness. They have seen that this is the way we operate and we are the mugs for letting it happen.”

Jonathan Isaby, of the Tax­Payers’ Alliance, said: “Taxpayers will be appalled to learn that £1,500 of their hard-earned money was used to give a convicted ­prisoner this sick ‘golden goodbye’ prior to his deportation. When all of us are having to tighten our belts and watch every penny, payoffs for fraudsters like Rathore at British taxpayers’ expense are an utter disgrace."

UK: HOW EU MEDDLING COULD FORCE FAMILIES OUT OF THEIR HOMES

FRESH EU meddling in Britain’s mortgage market could see huge numbers of families forced out of their homes and millions more clobbered by rising interest rates and fees.

An obscure directive being pushed through the European Parliament will force repossessions up, speed up the eviction process and cut the discretion banks and building societies can give those struggling with their payments.

It will also send lenders’ costs soaring by 20 per cent, dealing a huge blow to the mortgage market.

Last night Michael Atkinson, director of brokers Summit Capital Mortgages, said: 

“At a stroke, it would pull the rug from under many thousands of Britons who are currently struggling to keep up with their mortgage repayments. Were this to become law, the amount of slack that UK lenders can give struggling borrowers would be halved. While this would be disastrous for any borrowers who are plunged into default as a result, it would also pile extra pressure – and cost – on to lenders.

“They would inevitably put up interest rates and further tighten their lending criteria. So the current vicious circle of sluggish demand and banks who are reluctant to lend would get worse. The threat of eurozone collapse is already eroding borrowers’ confidence and lenders’ access to funds on the wholesalemoney markets. For the EU to weigh in with such a wrong-headed, one-size-fits-all proposal would just rub salt into the wound.”

The new rules could come into force as early as next year, triggering a fresh housing slump as thousands more repossessed homes flood the market and depress prices, he warned.

UK: At this rate we'll all be selling The Big Issue

Think of the homeless and an image comes to mind of people sleeping in shop doorways or families living in cramped bed-and-breakfast accommodation. Not so, apparently. The notion of 'homelessness' as not having a proper roof over your head is so last century.

The new definition also includes 'overcrowding', such as children having to share a bedroom or not having a quiet place to do their homework.

It goes to prove that you can never underestimate the ingenuity of the welfare industry when it comes to expanding its client base. In what kind of parallel universe can sharing a bedroom be classified as 'homeless'? In an ideal world, brothers and sisters would always have their own room, but since when did we live in an ideal world?

I had no idea that the concept of homelessness could be so flexible until I heard the BBC's coverage of the Government's plans to cap benefits. And I don't suppose you did, either.

This does, however, explain why large families, often from overseas, have been billeted in six- and seven-bedroom mansions in fashionable postcodes at taxpayers' expense, like that Romanian [Gypsy] Big Issue seller we learned about last week.

Predictably, the BBC went into inter-stellar overdrive at the announcement that no family in future will receive more than £26,000 a year in benefits. A procession of professional grievance-mongers was paraded across the airwaves to protest about the cruelty of this callous measure.

Restricting benefits to the level of the average household income was 'plunging people into poverty'. Expecting families on welfare to move from Mayfair into more affordable accommodation was tantamount to 'social cleansing'.

On Radio 4's Today programme, Evan Davis treated the Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith like a war criminal. It was a disgraceful piece of partisan political posturing by a supposedly impartial presenter, but bang in line with the BBC's hand-wringing coverage of the 'savage cuts' ever since the Coalition came to power. You would have thought that Duncan Smith had just announced the slaughter of the first-born, instead of perfectly reasonable plans to cut the widespread abuse of the welfare system.

Davis kept demanding to know if he had done any 'modelling' of the new rules, which conjured up an alarming vision of the former Conservative leader strutting round the Department of Work and Pensions in a gold lamé posing pouch.

On Radio 2, Middle England's favourite radio station, the independent pundit selected to explain the impact of the new measures was a grizzled veteran of the extremist Socialist Workers Party, who has been on every protest march since Peterloo and was last seen running the Stop The War campaign. So no bias there, then. The hysterical language being used all day yesterday was as grotesque as it was inflammatory. How does giving someone £500 a week, tax free, every week, for doing nothing amount to 'plunging them into poverty'?

If that's the case then there are millions of people in Britain, particularly pensioners on fixed incomes and parents on low wages struggling to feed their families, who would just love to be 'plunged into poverty'.

Mind you, Labour stretched the elastic definition of 'poverty' so far that people earning £50,000-plus were still entitled to receive benefits and anyone without a car and a flat-screen TV was seen as destitute.

Twenty-six grand is not a fortune, but it is the average household income after tax in Britain. To achieve that you have to earn around £35,000 a year gross, not far short of the level at which the 40p income tax rate kicks in. There are plenty of people in all kinds of occupations who can only dream of trousering that kind of wedge. But they knuckle down and get on with it, cutting their cloth accordingly.

They'd love a penthouse in Kensington, but have to settle for a two-bed flat in Kennington. People commute every day into our big cities because they can't afford a home nearer to their place of work.

The howl from the BBC, the bishops and the old boiler from the SWP was that only the wealthy will be able to live in Britain's most expensive districts. And your point is? In the world of work, people live where they can afford to buy or rent. It's called making ends meet. Why should it be any different for those who are out of work?  The unemployed should not be better off than those whose taxes pay their benefits.

These reforms are long overdue. A scheme which started with the best of intentions has spiralled out of control, filling the pockets of spiv landlords and delivering absurdities such as the Somali family put up in an £8,000-a-month, six-bedroom house in London's upmarket Hampstead - simply because they didn't fancy living in Coventry.

It is outrageous that foreign nationals with no connection to this country, and who have never made any contribution to this country, should be able to travel halfway round the world and expect to live like millionaires at the expense of hard-working British taxpayers.

Outrageous, that is, except to BBC journalists and the kind of deluded Big State welfare 'professional' who considers any child without his or her own bedroom to be 'homeless'.

You may have already read Jen Matthys's article informing us of the court appearance of the above alleged paedophiles. If so, you may well be thinking that we ought to make a HUGE noise about this.

The word “groomers” sounds somewhat positive and worthy doesn’t it? Why do we continue to use terms that do NOT highlight exactly what we are talking about?

The reality is that scumbag PAEDOPHILES are systematically abusing, drugging and raping little white girls. Also, they seem to believe they can do so with impunity, because they keep getting away with it, with little more than a rap on the knuckles.

These little girls are someone's daughters; the flesh and blood of their parents’ loins and the establishment are spitting on those little children, with their anti-British, anti-white attitude towards Muslims.

As we know all too well, these children sometimes disappear; just like 14 year old Charlene Downes - and even though the police and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have solid evidence for conviction, they let the evil ones walk free, or they do a deal with them, to hide the full extent of their evil deeds.

The CPS would like nothing more than to allow these evil monsters to slip quietly through the system, in the Liverpool Crown Court on Monday 6th February, because Liverpool Crown Court doesn't usually see cases of Muslim Paedophiles, because the Muslim population here is relatively low.

Also, most of their crimes were perpetrated in different parts of the country, so the victims are unlikely to be represented by members of their family. So, instead of having a weekly court report of these events, the CPS want to sneak them all through at once, in the hope that less people will notice it.

Will WE allow this to happen quietly?

Will WE allow these evil scumbags to scurry in and out of court, without being filmed, photographed and berated?

Will WE allow their crimes to go unnoticed by the people of Liverpool?

I trust that the answer to each of these questions is a resounding NO!

The Liverpool British National Party team will be there to give these scumbags a noisy reception and we hope to wake up the Sleeping Sheeple in the process. And we believe it is realistic to expect a 200 strong group of patriots to stand with us; will YOU be with us?

Let’s be honest; if anyone claims to be a loyal patriot (regardless of whether they have issues with fellow patriots, or not) and they DON’T bother to attend something as important as this, then they might as well go off and join the Liberal Party.

Because the British National Party will NEVER accept that our children – the future generations of our kinfolk, should EVER be treated like this. And, anyone who helps to conceal these heinous crimes, such as the police and CPS, are culpable and complicit. Also, every member of the Sleeping Sheeple that refuses to wake up and take responsibility FOR WHAT THEY HAVE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN is also culpable.

Our Last Chance for Freedom; Their Last Chance for Global Dominion

We each can decide the fate of humanity every single day.

Indeed, we teeter on a precipice upon which technology and human innovation will either free us from chains that have collectively bound us since the beginning of civilization, or enslave us within a global scientific dictatorship that will crush us so completely we will cease to even be human.

The global elite know this, while the average person snickers and giggles at what is perhaps the greatest struggle with the most at stake ever in human history. As the global elite mobilize the summation of their power and wealth on a daily basis, many of us do nothing at all to assert ourselves or our claim to our own destiny. Worse yet, many of us witlessly pay into a system that seeks to supplant individual human sovereignty and achieve the ultimate culmination of megalomaniacal dominion over the human race.

A fear stalks the global elite, however -- the fear of inevitable technological breakthroughs slipping from their monopolistic grip and into the hands of the people. Technology like file sharing, blogging, open source software, and cheaper hardware have allowed the masses to challenge, and in some ways dismantle the structure of domination the global elite are attempting to build over free humanity.

Rules and regulations, bills like SOPA and PIPA, and other legal tactics attempt to stem the tide, or indeed reverse it. In other ways, this "disruptive technology" is below the radar of most in both politics and throughout the public, but a potential battlefield the global elite are already preparing to fight upon.

One example, and perhaps the most profound, is that of advanced computer-controlled manufacturing that is starting to appear on desktops around the world. An article on the globalist Lowy Institute's "Interpreter" notes the emergence of this technology in an article titled, "The replicator: Life imitates Star Trek," which concludes, "I don't think we yet have any idea of the disruptive capacity of such technology, for good and ill."

The implications are that the average person will be able to design and create their own goods and no longer depend on the crass consumerism that has characterized, aligned, and controlled society for the last several decades. Instead of having the TV tell people what they want, people could decide for themselves. And while we could collaborate globally, we would be able to decide locally how best to employ our time, energy, and resources to solve local problems. The blending of designers, manufacturers, and end-users would make collaboration and the erasing of the concept of "intellectual property" an inevitability. It would deconstruct walls standing in the way of progress like never before -- as well as diminish both corporate profits and the unwarranted power these profits have granted corporations for generations.

And while computer-controlled manufacturing entering into the hands of the masses would bring a quantum leap to human progress, reducing material scarcity as the technology improved, none of this is being talked about in political or public circles beyond a handful of universities and enthusiasts who genuinely want what's best for humanity. In attempts to garner government support, many organizations are told specific rules exist that prevent governments or corporations from assisting projects that turn consumers into producers and thus opening the door to the personal manufacturing revolution.

It is a good bet that the upper echelons of the global elite are well aware of the impending personal manufacturing revolution -- and would rather keep it silent. Concepts and predictions of "universal constructors" have been around since the 1940s. Even the most obedient and servile amongst the globalists' helping hands would see the value and allure of such a paradigm shift finally becoming reality and might be tempted to stray from servitude if such ideas became more mainstream. Keeping this quiet buys the elite time to put their global system in place, increase interdependency between people and nations, as well as increasing dependency on their contrived international institutions -- when technology already exists that make such global empires both unnecessary and entirely unpalatable.

Globalists, through deindustrialization, have made it more difficult to continue making advances in manufacturing technology that would normally trickle down to hobbyists and the general public. Perpetuating and celebrating ignorance and ineptitude amongst a population that now values pop stars and athletes more than those seeking to advance the frontiers of humanity has also served the global elite well in staving off this paradigm shift.

The wisdom of Carl Sagan yielded the observation that we live in a society constructed on science and technology, but where the public has little or no knowledge at all regarding either. So then who, Sagan asked, is determining the fate of humanity? The answer is simple, the corporate-oligarchies that hold a monopoly on science, technology, and engineering and who seek through rules and regulations to defend, consolidate, and expand further that monopoly. In many ways we already live under a scientific dictatorship.

We are faced with a series of decisions. Do we allow the petty, short-sighted, self-serving corporate oligarchies to continue dominating society by our paying into their system on a daily basis? Will we allow corporate-funded think-tanks like the Brookings Institution and the Council on Foreign Relations to continue determining national policy for us, but on behalf of their corporate sponsors? Will we continue hoping for political leaders and political solutions to come and improve our lives for us like needy children? Or are we prepared to grow up as a civilization and take on these responsibilities for ourselves? Are we prepared to starve into extinction the antiquated elitist parasites that have misled us from one dark age to another, one war to the next, from one economic depression to even worse, and who have brought us to the edge of perhaps the most frightening abyss in human history?

Personal manufacturing is here, a paradigm shift of immense proportions stands before us. People around the world are already utilizing it to solve real-world problems, as demonstrated by MIT's FabLab -- and improves lives where politics have categorically failed. Society will continue to march forward with an expanding scientific and technological infrastructure. It is up to us, and our will to get involved, that will determine whether that infrastructure serves the elite or the people.

Above all others, Americans should be scientifically and technologically literate. The "bread and circus" of corporate-funded spectacles like the NFL, American Idol, and all the other pointless diversions that have absorbed our time and energy and even our own will to determine our destiny are like the ancient Sirens of Greek mythology guiding us into the rocks of our own destruction. It is time for us to determine whether we will command the direction of our own destiny, or if the cage the global elite have constructed around us incrementally is sufficiently comfortable enough for which to resign the destiny of humanity.

For those interested in personal manufacturing, the above Interpreter article features the "Makerbot" designed and constructed by a collaborative workspace in New York City called "Resistor." America used to have a thriving DIY industry, with an abundance of clubs, organizations, contests, and publications. Today there is a resurgence -- only this time augmented with technology like personal manufacturing that has immense implications that go beyond a constructive pastime.

It would be a good idea to connect with these people and add our talent, energy, and free time to something more constructive than vegetating on the couch behind the glow of the Fortune 500 TV programming that has lulled a great nation to sleep. The future is as bright as we make it -- not through merely voting and protesting, but through the use of our two hands and to whom we choose to pay our money, time, and attention.

The fate of humanity is determined each and every day by how we choose to spend these personal commodities. Technology has reached a point of no return, granting whoever wields it control of human destiny well into the foreseeable future.

Let's make sure it is we the people that are wielding it.

US Military Refuses To Drive Bilderberg Israeli Bus Off Cliff Into WW III

I deal in reality. If you want to hear fantasies about Iran’s nuclear weapons program that does not exist, you will have to go to a news outlet that either takes money from the Federal Reserve or is owned by Zionists and arms manufacturers. There is no evidence that Iran has an active program to make nuclear weapons. The Iranians are at 20% enrichment which is enough to make medical isotopes. They need to get to over 90% to make a bomb.

Yet we have heard nothing but war talk against Iran ever since the invasion of Iraq. We spent a trillion dollars and lots of lives fighting in Iraq over WMDs we knew never existed even before we invaded. We spent over a trillion dollars fighting in Afghanistan because the Taliban refused to turn over Osama bin Laden without evidence that he was responsible for 911. The US refused to produce any evidence of Osama’s crimes because there was none. But there is overwhelming evidence that Israel did 911 which I will demonstrate in my next essay.

So if the Iraqi WMDs were a fantasy cooked up by the Israelis to trick Americans into killing millions of Muslims in Iraq and Israel did 911 so there was no reason to kill millions of Muslims in Afghanistan, why is the Jewish owned media talking about attacking Iran which means war with Syria and Hezbollah as well? And what was it with those drone attacks and car bombs the CIA unleashed against Pakistan? I thought Pakistan was one of America’s best friends in the world.

As I said before, I deal in reality. Israel has laid claim to all the land from the Nile to the Euphrates which has an area the size of Texas and a population of 300 million. In 2001 just after 911 Wesley Clark saw a list of 7 nations Bush had told the Pentagon to invade. The list included Libya, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Iran. It was based upon Oded Yinon’s 1982 A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties. The only reason for all of America’s wars is Israel and her insane idea that she has the right to dispossess 300 million people from their land. America spent trillions of dollars and ten years fighting people who were only guilty of resisting invasions and occupations that killed millions of innocent civilians. You might ask where the honor is in killing unarmed women and children.

All that fighting and dying and all those sacrifices by families back home were to no avail. When the US officially left Iraq on December 15, 2011, she left behind lots of cancer and birth defect inducing Depleted Uranium and lots of death squads to teach those Muslims to love Wall Street democracy. The US is now negotiating an exit from Afghanistan with the Taliban in Qatar. Things have not gone well on the Afghan front ever since the Pakistan Army cut off American supplies. This was after the deliberate and unprovoked murder of 24 Pakistani soldiers on November 26th.

So you ask just how do the Israelis plan to get from here to there? They want to dispossess 300 million Muslims and America failed at that task. But the US military will succeed in doing exactly what Israel wants if they attack Iran. Israel wants US sailors, marines, soldiers and airmen to die.

Wake-up call, Part 1

Birth of an abomination

In simple terms Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the end of civilization as we know it. It is the end of private property, the elevation of the collective over the individual. It is the redistribution of America’s wealth to the global elite, it is the end of the Great American Experiment and the Constitution. And, it is the reduction of 85% of the world’s population.

In 1992, twenty years ago this summer, Agenda 21/Sustainable Development was unveiled to the world at the UN’s Earth Summit in Rio. (While Agenda 21 was introduced in June, 1992, it was already installed as public policy in communities across the country as early as 1987.)

In his opening remarks at the ceremonies at the Earth Summit, Maurice Strong stated: 

“The concept of national sovereignty has been an immutable, indeed sacred, principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation. It is simply not feasible for sovereignty to be exercised unilaterally by individual nation states, however powerful. The global community must be assured of environmental security.” 

If this is true, then he and his cohorts must be even more against individual sovereignty. Keep this quote in mind as you read about Agenda 21.

George H.W. Bush was in Rio for the ceremonies and graciously signed on for America so that our Congress did not have to spend the time reviewing the treaty and learning then what dastardly deeds were in store for us -- that protecting the environment would be used as the basis for controlling all human activity and redistributing our wealth.

Definitions of Sustainable Development

U.N. definition of Sustainable Development:

“meeting today’s needs without compromising future generations to meet their own needs.”

In actuality, Sustainable Development is not sustainable unless the population actually is reduced by the 85% called for by the globalists. The true purpose of Sustainable Development and all of its policies is the control of all aspects of human life -- economic, social and environmental (see 3 Es of Sustainable Development further into article).

Here is how the UN described Agenda 21 in one of its own publications in a 1993 article entitled “Agenda 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save our Planet:” 

“Agenda 21proposes an array of actions which are intended to be implemented by EVERY person on Earth…it calls for specific changes in the activities of ALL people… Effective execution of Agenda 21 will REQUIRE a profound reorientation of ALL humans, unlike anything the world has ever experienced.”

So George H.W. Bush signed the Rio Accord and a year later Clinton established his President’s Council for Sustainable Development which would render the guidelines of Agenda 21 into public policy to be administered by the federal government via all departments. In doing this, Bush and Clinton set up Agenda 21 as ruling authority, i.e, implementing a U.N. plan to become U.S. policy across the whole nation and into every county and town. And every succeeding president has fully endorsed and implemented Agenda 21 through every department of the federal government.

If one were to research the source of U.S. policy, one would find that much of our policy of the last few decades is the outcome of agreements we have entered into via treaties with the U.N. And that policy has trickled, no gushed, down into every state and into almost every other jurisdiction -- county, city, town -- in the nation; Sustainable Development is the official policy of our country even though many citizens are yet ignorant of its existence. And this policy encompasses an entire economic and social agenda.

So what is Sustainable Development?

According to its authors, the objective of Sustainable Development is to integrate economic, social and environmental policies in order to achieve reduced consumption, social equity, and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity (the 3Es of sustainability). They insist that every societal decision be based on environmental impact, focusing on three components; global land use, global education, and global population control and reduction.

Look at these words, they are part of the new vocabulary:

Free trade, open space, smart growth, smart food, smart buildings, regional planning, walkable, bikeable, foodsheds, viewsheds, consensus, partnerships, preservation, stakeholders, land use, environmental protection, development, diversity, visioning, social justice, heritage, carbon footprints, comprehensive planning, critical thinking, community service, regional planning.

All of these words are part of the Newspeak, the altering of the English language as a tool to promote a global government through a diabolical agenda called Agenda 21. In fact, the world will be retooled from top to bottom through this agenda and using the new vocabulary. This is not just policy but a complete restructuring of life as we know it. We not only will be taught how we must live, but where we are allowed to live; taught how to think and what is acceptable thinking; told what job we will be allowed to have; taught how we can worship and what we will be allowed to worship; and we will be brainwashed into believing that the individual must cede all to the collective.

Private property will be a sin that will be eradicated as will be free-market economics which will be replaced by public private partnerships and a planned central economy. Individualism will be rooted out and social justice will rule the land. Social justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people "to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment." – in other words, the redistribution of wealth. This will be achieved through an organizational structure of land use controls; control of energy and energy production; control of transportation; control of industry; control of food production; control of development; control of water availability; and control of population size and growth. And all of this will be decreed under the guise of environmental protection.

The 3 Es of Sustainable Development

The 3Es of sustainability which make up the Sustainable Development logo consists of three connecting circles labeled Social Equity; Economic Prosperity; and Ecological Integrity. These Es together encompass every aspect of human life.

First E - Social Equity

Social Equity is based on a demand for “social justice.” -- in non-Newspeak, redistribution of the wealth.

Social justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people “to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment.” Redistribution of wealth. Private property is a social injustice since not everyone can build wealth from it. National sovereignty is a social injustice. Universal health care is a social injustice. Equity is a system of “social justice” that works to abolish the American concept of equal justice in order to pursue the globalist ideal of the “common good.” Individuals rights must be abolished for the good of the collective, just as in Communism; in fact, Karl Marx was the first person to use the term social justice. Social justice is an unnatural leveling of all wealth (other than that of the global elites); no one person is supposed to profit more than another.

Second E - Economic Prosperity

From Wikipedia comes this discussion of economic prosperity promoted under Sustainable Development:

Economic growth is often seen as essential for economic prosperity, and indeed is one of the factors that is used as a measure of prosperity. The Rocky Mountain Institute has put forth an alternative point of view, that prosperity does not require growth, claiming instead that many of the problems facing communities are actually a result of growth, and that sustainable development requires abandoning the idea that growth is required for prosperity. The debate over whether economic growth is necessary for, or at odds with, human prosperity, has been active at least since the publication of Our Common Future in 1987, and has been pointed to as reflecting two opposing worldviews.

Keep in mind that almost every concept under Agenda 21 is written in Newspeak -- words often have the opposite meanings of those in your Webster Dictionary so that the general public might be deceived, at least for a time (and it has been). Economic prosperity under Agenda 21 is anything but prosperity -- other than for the global elites who are controlling the system. It is economic ruin for the ordinary people of the entire globe.

Agenda 21 proponents would have you believe that all of the wealth in the world was made on the backs of the poor and that the only way that this inequity can be corrected is to redistribute that wealth. While they claim that the wealth must be taken from the American middle class and given to the poor of the world, in actuality the money will be taken from that American middle class and given to the global elite (as if they didn’t control most of the world’s wealth already -- but that is not the issue; it is to reduce us to slaves at best). The poor, in Africa and other parts of the world, will never see a dime of the redistributed wealth, they are only the pretense for taking our money.

Agenda 21 encompasses the so-called free trade movement that created both NAFTA and Public/Private Partnerships which were incorporated into a government-driven economy called “corporatism.” These public/private partnerships are nothing more than government sanctioned monopolies -- Mussolini style economics.

Third E - Ecological Integrity

To understand the power of the transformation of society under sustainable development, consider this quote from the UN’s Biodiversity Treaty (which also was introduced at the Rio Earth Summit:

“Nature has an integral set of different values (cultural, spiritual and material) where humans are one strand in nature’s web and all living creatures are considered equal. Therefore the natural way is the right way and human activities should be molded along nature’s rhythms.”

This quote says it all; that we humans are nothing special – just one strand in the nature of things or, put another way, humans are simply biological resources. No better than slugs or dung. In fact, in the eye of the globalist, we are of less value than slugs or dung. Their policy is to oversee any issue in which man interacts with nature – which, of course, is literally everything. UK: EDL - Leicester Demo (4th Feb 2012) - Equal Justice for All

The English Defence League will be carrying out a National Demonstration in Leicester on 4th February 2012.

The EDL are protesting against the two-tier justice system that is currently operating in many parts of the UK in which Muslim offenders are seen to be treated in a far more lenient manner than most other offenders.

Also, the many violent offences committed by Muslims against English people are not being treated seriously enough by the Authorities, resulting in such cases failing to be given the investigative and media attention that they rightfully deserve.

Justice is (supposed to be) blind.

I do not support the EDL and regard them as another zionist controlled establishment pressure valve. However I most certainly do support the principles behind this demonstration. J.H.

USA: The Organic Elite Surrenders to Monsanto: What Now?

In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsanto’s Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nation’s 25,000 organic farms and ranches, America’s organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal. A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided it’s time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsanto’s controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for “coexistence” with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack.

In a cleverly worded, but profoundly misleading email sent to its customers last week, Whole Foods Market, while proclaiming their support for organics and “seed purity,” gave the green light to USDA bureaucrats to approve the “conditional deregulation” of Monsanto’s genetically engineered, herbicide-resistant alfalfa. Beyond the regulatory euphemism of “conditional deregulation,” this means that WFM and their colleagues are willing to go along with the massive planting of a chemical and energy-intensive GE perennial crop, alfalfa; guaranteed to spread its mutant genes and seeds across the nation; guaranteed to contaminate the alfalfa fed to organic animals; guaranteed to lead to massive poisoning of farm workers and destruction of the essential soil food web by the toxic herbicide, Roundup; and guaranteed to produce Roundup-resistant superweeds that will require even more deadly herbicides such as 2,4 D to be sprayed on millions of acres of alfalfa across the U.S.

In exchange for allowing Monsanto’s premeditated pollution of the alfalfa gene pool, WFM wants “compensation.” In exchange for a new assault on farmworkers and rural communities (a recent large-scale Swedish study found that spraying Roundup doubles farm workers’ and rural residents’ risk of getting cancer), WFM expects the pro-biotech USDA to begin to regulate rather than cheerlead for Monsanto. In payment for a new broad spectrum attack on the soil’s crucial ability to provide nutrition for food crops and to sequester dangerous greenhouse gases (recent studies show that Roundup devastates essential soil microorganisms that provide plant nutrition and sequester climate-destabilizing greenhouse gases), WFM wants the Biotech Bully of St. Louis to agree to pay “compensation” (i.e. hush money) to farmers “for any losses related to the contamination of his crop.”

In its email of Jan. 21, 2011 WFM calls for “public oversight by the USDA rather than reliance on the biotechnology industry,” even though WFM knows full well that federal regulations on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) do not require pre-market safety testing, nor labeling; and that even federal judges have repeatedly ruled that so-called government “oversight” of Frankencrops such as Monsanto’s sugar beets and alfalfa is basically a farce. At the end of its email, WFM admits that its surrender to Monsanto is permanent: “The policy set for GE alfalfa will most likely guide policies for other GE crops as well True coexistence is a must.”

Why Is Organic Inc. Surrendering?

According to informed sources, the CEOs of WFM and Stonyfield are personal friends of former Iowa governor, now USDA Secretary, Tom Vilsack, and in fact made financial contributions to Vilsack’s previous electoral campaigns. Vilsack was hailed as “Governor of the Year” in 2001 by the Biotechnology Industry Organization, and traveled in a Monsanto corporate jet on the campaign trail. Perhaps even more fundamental to Organic Inc.’s abject surrender is the fact that the organic elite has become more and more isolated from the concerns and passions of organic consumers and locavores. The Organic Inc. CEOs are tired of activist pressure, boycotts, and petitions. Several of them have told me this to my face. They apparently believe that the battle against GMOs has been lost, and that it’s time to reach for the consolation prize. The consolation prize they seek is a so-called “coexistence” between the biotech Behemoth and the organic community that will lull the public to sleep and greenwash the unpleasant fact that Monsanto’s unlabeled and unregulated genetically engineered crops are now spreading their toxic genes on 1/3 of U.S. (and 1/10 of global) crop land.
