Norway: Police Knew Gunman’s Name Before Arrest

Despite being portrayed by the media as inept due to the length of time it took them to reach the island of Utoeya, it has now emerged that police knew the name of gunman Anders Behring Breivik before they even arrested him, a startling admission that prompted one of Britain’s top news anchors to question how authorities were aware of the gunman’s identity in advance.

During his Channel 4 News broadcast on Friday evening, host Jon Snow asked “why police knew the killer’s name by the time they had arrived on the island,” reported the Telegraph live blog.

“He surrendered the moment police called his name 3 minutes after they arrived. What we don’t know is how the police knew the terrorist’s name before they arrested him,” said Snow, who is recognized as one of Britain’s most trusted news anchors, and cannot be dismissed as a “conspiracy theorist”.

Snow also posed the question on his official Twitter page.

How authorities knew the gunman’s identity before his slaughter of young Norwegians on the island of Utoeya had even come to an end, and while the overwhelming speculation still centered around Islamic terrorists, is a mystery, as is the question of why the cops didn’t shoot Breivik immediately.

The infamous Norwegian Vidkun Quisling, who assisted Nazi Germany as it conquered his own country, must be applauding in his grave.

In the latest example of Norwegian collaboration with the enemies of the Jews, Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere declared during a press conference this week, alongside Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, that “Norway believes it is perfectly legitimate for the Palestinian president to turn to the United Nations” to seek recognition of an independent Palestinian state.

Despite Abbas’s decision to throw his lot in with the Hamas terrorists as part of some sort of “unity” government, Stoere signed an agreement with Abbas on upgrading Palestinian representation in Norway. Under the agreement, which effectively rewards Abbas for joining forces with Hamas, the Palestinian representative will have the full diplomatic rank of ambassador.

The foreign minister of Norway, which chairs a group of Palestinian donor nations, also used the occasion to hold the tin cup out for Abbas. Foreign Minister Stoere chided those who have decided to hold back on their contributions. “All donors should make an extra effort to support the Palestinians this summer and autumn,” he said.

None of this should come as a surprise. Let’s not forget, for example, that Foreign Minister Stoere is in charge of the same Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in which Socialist Ingrid Fiskaa (Pictured right) — who said in April 2008 that she sometimes wished the United Nations would send “precision-guided missiles against selected Israeli targets” — so proudly serves as a state secretary

But when I heard that there were Jews actively supporting the English Defence League (EDL), I thought: “pull the other one”. The EDL claims to stand up for Englishness against Islamic extremism, but in truth it is largely a hodgepodge of football hooligans, lumpen boot-boys and cast-offs from seedy neo-Nazi outfits.

Its demonstrations, have been crude exercises in baiting local Asian youth and their anti-racist supporters, with the local constabulary caught in the blood-spattered middle. Anglo-Jewry’s Community Security Trust concluded that: “EDL actions are violent and intimidatory, attacking police and random Asians. Any Jews thinking that they can shape such dangerous forces and find shelter there are utterly deluded.”

The Jewish-EDL connection first emerged when Israeli flags were seen at some of the early protest-punch-ups. Initially, it was believed to be a macho homage to Israel’s “kill or be killed” policy towards Hamas and Hezbollah terror. But then stories began to emerge in the Jewish press of an EDL “Jew division”. Based on anonymous sources, I dismissed it as a fantasist talking out the top of his yamulke. But I was wrong.

Mark Gardner, CST communications director, confirms that Jews are running with the EDL: “The Jewish branch is a tiny part of a far larger movement, dominated by white males who would previously have made up National Front marches and English football hooligan gangs.”

Indeed, these useful idiots now have a spokeswoman, Brazilian-born Jewish activist Roberta Moore. She told the Jewish Chronicle that that the Jewish division has around 100 members, “most of whom are Jewish”.

“Our members are not hooligans. We are educated people with jobs,” said Ms Moore. “If we defend ourselves is that hooliganism? The Jewish community sit in their houses and do nothing. They will enjoy the benefits of our actions.” Commonplace EDL “actions” include the frequent use of the Sieg Heil salute by members of the rag-tag mob.

Female U.S. Soldiers in Afghanistan "Encouraged" to Wear Hijab

In an effort to get closer to the local population, American female soldiers stationed in Afghanistan are being encouraged to wear a Muslim headscarf when interacting with civilians. But some question whether the practice constitutes cultural sensitivity or a form of appeasement that is degrading to U.S. soldiers.

Major Kyndra Rotunda, executive director of the Military Law and Policy Institute and AMVETS Legal Clinic at Chapman University, told The Daily Caller that while the women are not being ordered to wear the head scarf, encouragement is tantamount to a demand.

“They say they are encouraging women to wear the headscarf when they are out and about and on patrol. But the problem is — and I think anyone who has been in the military understands that being encouraged to do something is about the same thing as being ordered — it really puts them in an uncomfortable position when their commander says, ‘We really want you to do this, technically you don’t have to, but we really want you to do this,’” she said.

Despite ban, France buys Israeli drones

The French defense ministry has decided, after a four-decade-long weapons sales embargo on Israel, to purchase Heron TP drones from Tel Aviv.

The decision, made last week, will put an end to a 42-year weapons sales ban to Israel placed by the then French President Charles de Gaulle, Ha'aretz reported. 


De Gaulle declared the ban on June 2, 1967. Only three days after the Six-Day War began. Israel had at the time purchased several Mirage jets and missile boats from France. However, as the embargo was enforced, Israel never received the military equipment. De Gaulle and the French government at the time had warned Israel that it was a mistake to occupy the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They further refused to recognize Israel's control of Jerusalem.

The move to buy Israeli drones marks a shift in Paris' policy towards Tel Aviv. This will be the first time the drone, produced by Israel's Aerospace Industry is purchased by a foreign country.

Israel's Aerospace Industry has yet refused to comment on the deal. This comes while an unnamed security industry official has called the deal “a truly and historically coming full circle.”

Heron TP is suspected to have been used for the first time in January 2009 when Israel launched a war on the impoverished Gaza Strip.

The 22-day Israeli onslaught took the lives of more than 1,400 Palestinians, mostly civilians and left thousands more injured. It also inflicted over USD 1.6 billion in damages on the territory's economy.

The world is just one misstep away from a complete financial, economic and geo-political meltdown. Though the mainstream voices have calmed their reports of middle east conflict amid the debt ceiling and negative economic development in the US and Europe, military intervention in Iran has not been taken off the table.

The Daily Crux reports via the Economic Policy Journal and Zero Hedge:

Robert Baer has had a storied career, including a stint in Iraq in the 1990s where he organised opposition to Saddam Hussein. (He was recalled after being accused of trying to organise Saddam’s assassination.) Upon his retirement, he received a top decoration for meritorious service.
Baer is no ordinary CIA operative. George Clooney won an Oscar for playing a character based on Baer in the film Syriana (Baer also wrote the book).
He obviously won’t name many of his sources in Israel, the United States, and elsewhere, but the few he has named are all Israeli security figures who have publically warned that Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak are hell-bent on war.

[Baer] appeared on KPFK Los Angeles, warning that Israeli PM Netanyahu is “likely to ignite a war with Iran in the very near future.” It gets worse: “Masters asked Baer why the US military is not mobilising to stop this war from happening. Baer responded that the military is opposed, as is former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, who used his influence to thwart an Israeli attack during the Bush and Obama administrations. But he’s gone now and “there is a warning order inside the Pentagon” to prepare for war.” The punchline: “There is almost “near certainty” that Netanyahu is “planning an attack [on Iran] … and it will probably be in September before the vote on a Palestinian state. And he’s also hoping to draw the United States into the conflict“, Baer explained.”

While President Obama has not exactly been fully supportive of Israel (at least overtly), an attack on Iran by the Israelis would no doubt be considered by Iran as having been supported by the United States. That being the case, Iran would respond militarily against all US forces in the region, especially those in Iraq, at the first sign of any trouble. Subsequently, the U.S. would return fire en masse, perhaps even utilizing the nuclear option to incapacitate any possibility of an Iranian nuclear response.

BRITAIN’S maternity wards are struggling to cope with a baby boom that now sees one child born every 40 seconds.

Experts last night said much of the UK’s soaring birth rate was due to mass immigration which had left hospitals “buckling” under the pressure. Official figures show one in every four babies born in Britain in 2009 was to a migrant mother – the highest since 1969.

Last Friday, with no fanfare, no press coverage, and with every effort made to hide his actions from the American people, President Obama enacted the DREAM Act by executive order.

Opposed by a majority of the American people and twice defeated in Congress, the DREAM Act grants amnesty to any illegal alien residing in the United States if s/he agrees to enlist in the U.S. military or enter college.

The Obama administration memo from the John Morton, Director of I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) directs I.C.E. agents now to use“prosecutorial discretion” with regard to enforcing immigration laws.

Director Morton says that Obama Administration policy directs border patrol agents not to enforce immigration laws: “When ICE favorably exercises prosecutorial discretion, it essentially decides not to assert the full scope of theenforcement authority available to the agency.”

Climate change, fake charities, Nazis and Chris Huhne

Chris Huhne tends to reach reflexively for Nazi metaphors when confronted with dissenting opinions. When the Conservatives left the EPP, he asserted that William Hague had been “touring the beer cellars of central Europe” for allies. During the AV referendum, he likened supporters of the established electoral method to Goebbels. Now he says that people who disagree with him about weather patterns are like the Munich appeasers.

The Energy Secretary doesn’t allow the possibility that there might be two honestly-held views on how to respond to climate change. As far as he’s concerned, this is a straightforward goodies-and-baddies issue. Accordingly, he has ordered an inquiry into lobbying by fossil fuel companies in advance of last month’s vote by MEPs on emissions targets.

AGW campaigners often assert that their opponents are in the pay of Big Energy. And it’s certainly true that Brussels is a honeypot for lobby groups of every kind. Yet by far the most intense lobbying in advance of the vote came not from Big Energy, but from Greenpeace, Christian Aid and the WWF.

It’s a funny thing. Internet discussion groups are often dominated by people who believe that large multi-national organizations are subverting the democratic process. Yet they rarely notice the most flagrant examples of such organizations, namely the giant NGOs.

A few weeks ago, during Christian Aid Week, I contributed a small sum through a church auction to what I imagined to be that organization’s main work, viz the alleviation of poverty. Shortly afterwards, Christian Aid started badgering me on the issue of climate change. Surprised, I looked at its website, where I found that, rather than building schools or distributing medicines, Christian Aid is mainly interested in lobbying against free trade.

How 'right wing' was Anders Breivik?

Apparently it was all the fault of right-wing bloggers and right-wingness generally. We know this because an important, symbolic, portentous cartoon by Martin Rowson tells us so in the Guardian. And so does theNew York Times.

More broadly, the mass killings in Norway, with their echo of the 1995 bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City by an antigovernment militant, have focused new attention around the world on the subculture of anti-Muslim bloggers and right-wing activists and renewed a debate over the focus of counterterrorism efforts.

Damn. What fools we were. There we were deluding ourselves after the USS Cole, and the Nairobi and Dar Es Salaam bombings, and the Madrid train bombings, and 7/7, and the ‘Mumbai’ Massacre and the shoebomber plot and the Heathrow plot and the LAX plot and the New York car bomb plot and the Fort Hood massacre and, oh, yeah, 9/11 that the world’s greatest terrorist threat came from Islamists who love death even more than we love Coca Cola. But this in fact was all just a red herring, brought about by the racism and Islamophobia of conservatives and libertarians and Tea Partiers to distract anti-terrorism resources from the real menace: right wing extremists like themselves.

Here’s comedian Charlie Brooker in the Guardian showing us all the correct way to think, using the medium of mirth. He knew, did our greatest living scourge of poor quality game shows, he just knew right from the start that the Norway killings could never have been the result of Islamist extremism. With his characteristic Swiftian scorn, he concludes:

So despite this being a story about an anti-Muslim extremist killing Norwegians who weren’t Muslim, they’ve managed to find a way to keep the finger of blame pointing at the Muslims, thereby following a narrative lead they’ve been fed for years, from the overall depiction of terrorism as an almost exclusively Islamic pursuit, outlined by “security experts” quick to see al-Qaida tentacles everywhere, to the fabricated tabloid fairytales about “Muslim-only loos” or local councils “banning Christmas”.

Yeah, stupid, right-wing dominated media and right-wing commentators. Fancy leaping to the conclusion as the first sketchy reports emerged that the car bombing and shooting of innocent civilians might be the work of Islamist terrorists. I mean, where’s the precedent for that?

Ireland: Taxpayers assets sold off to Speculators and Private Bankers

Ireland has sold a €1.1bn (£968m) stake in Bank of Ireland to a group of unidentified investors in a deal that will keep the country's largest bank out of state control, the government said on Monday.

The government had been widely expected to take control of Bank of Ireland, the last domestic lender outside of state ownership, after it agreed to underwrite a rights issues, whose results are due on Tuesday. After the sale and rights issue, the government will own a maximum of 32pc in the bank, the finance ministry said.

"The bank is very pleased to see this major endorsement ... and the confidence which these investors share with the bank in the future for the Irish economy," Bank of Ireland said in a statement. Under the deal the investors will initially purchase €241m worth of the state's shareholding. They will then purchase the remainder of up to €882m after regulatory approvals. In all they will purchase 4.2bn ordinary shares. The government said the sale would not involve any additional risk sharing for the government.

The warming of the Arctic is releasing toxic chemicals that had been trapped in the ice and cold water, scientists have discovered. The researchers warn that the amount of the poisons in the polar region is unknown and their release could "undermine global efforts to reduce environmental and human exposure to them".

The chemicals seeping out as temperatures rise include the pesticides DDT, lindane and chlordane as well as the industrial chemicals PCBs and the fungicide hexachlorobenzene (HCB). All of these are know aspersistent organics pollutants (Pops), and are banned under the 2004Stockholm convention.

Germany to lend €100m to Libyan rebels

Loan to national transitional council comes as missile strikes by Gaddafi forces hit oil tanks fuelling Misrata's power generators

Germany has announced that it will lend €100m to the Libyan opposition to ease a growing humanitarian crisis in rebel-controlled parts of the country.

The £88m loan to the national transitional council (NTC) was secured against frozen Libyan government funds. The money comes as the rebels struggle to pay for essentials, a fact that was exacerbated on Sunday when government missiles struck the oil tanks that fuel the besieged city of Misrata's power generators.

"We have decided to provide the NTC with urgently needed funding for civil and humanitarian measures," said the German foreign minister, Guido Westerwelle, in a statement. "People are suffering more and more from this, particularly in eastern Libya."

UK: How many council staff does it take to change a light bulb?

How long does it take to change a light bulb? Quite some time, it would appear, if you follow health and safety regulations. Certainly, the contractors replacing the bulb on this lamp post, which is barely ten feet tall, seemed to make a meal of it. Onlookers said that on arrival at the site in Bognor Regis town centre, the workers spent 15 minutes assembling the world’s smallest safety enclosure around the lamp post.

Having ensured the safety of the general public, the workmen, employed by council contractor Southern Electric, then took another ten minutes to manoeuvre the cab on the back of the van into position. It was only then that they could actually attend to the job in hand – going to work in hard hat and high-visibility jacket a dizzying four feet or so off the ground.

Norway Terror Attacks a False Flag

The tragic terror attacks in Norway display a number of the telltale signs of a false flag provocation. It is reported that, although the world media are attempting to focus on Anders Behring Breivik as a lone assassin in the tradition of Lee Harvey Oswald, many eyewitnesses agree that a second shooter was active in the massacre at the Utøya summer youth camp outside of Oslo. It has also come to light that a special police unit had conducted drills or exercises near the opera house in downtown Oslo which involved the detonation of bombs during 2010– exactly what caused the bloodshed a few hundred meters away this Friday. Further research reveals that United States intelligence agencies had been conducting a large-scale program of recruiting retired Norwegian police officers with the alleged purpose of conducting surveillance inside the country. This program, known as SIMAS Surveillance Detection Units, provided a perfect vehicle for the penetration and subversion of the Norwegian police by NATO.

A motive for the attack is also present: as part of its attempt to mount an independent foreign policy, including the imminent diplomatic recognition of a Palestinian state as part of a general rapprochement with the Arab world, Norway was leading the smaller NATO states in dropping out of the imperialist aggressor coalition currently bombing Libya. Norway was scheduled to stop all bombing and other sorties against the Gaddafi forces as out of August 1 at the latest.

Finally, the CIA limited hangout operation known as Wikileaks has already furnished a prefabricated off-the-shelf case for incompetence and malfeasance against the current Norwegian government that is doing all these things – in the form of a series of real or doctored dispatches which document the alleged negligence of this government in dealing with the terrorist threat, all in the view of US State Department officials.

VG of Oslo: “Several” Eyewitnesses Say there were Two Shooters on the Island

As noted, world press and media of the Anglo-American school have immediately battened onto Breivik as an archetypal lone assassin cast in the mold of Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan, and so many others. The problem for the terror mythographs is that , in most of these cases, there is credible to overwhelming evidence that these figures could not have acted alone. Among more recent loan assassins, Breivik could be compared to Major Nidal Hasan of Fort Hood, Texas, whose shooting spree dates back to November 2009. Hasan is accused of having killed seven people. At the time, it was considered remarkable that Hasan had managed to kill so many armed soldiers on the military base. But early reports suggested that there were one or two other shooters in addition to Hasan. As usually happens, these extra shooters were soon expunged from the hegemonic media narrative.¹

(b) APPLICABILITY.—Section 985 of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection (a), applies with respect to persons dying after January 1, 1997.

SEC. 1078. RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF HUMAN SUBJECTS FOR TESTING OF CHEMICAL OR BIOLOGICAL AGENTS.

(a) PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES.—The Secretary of Defense may not conduct (directly or by contract)—

(1) any test or experiment involving the use of a chemical agent or biological agent on a civilian population; or

(2) any other testing of a chemical agent or biological agent on human subjects. (b) EXCEPTIONS.—Subject to subsections (c), (d), and (e), the

prohibition in subsection (a) does not apply to a test or experiment carried out for any of the following purposes:

(1) Any peaceful purpose that is related to a medical, therapeutic, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, or research activity.

(2) Any purpose that is directly related to protection against toxic chemicals or biological weapons and agents.

(3) Any law enforcement purpose, including any purpose related to riot control. (c) INFORMED CONSENT REQUIRED.—The Secretary of Defense

may conduct a test or experiment described in subsection (b) only if informed consent to the testing was obtained from each human subject in advance of the testing on that subject.

(d) PRIOR NOTICE TO CONGRESS.—Not later than 30 days after the date of final approval within the Department of Defense of plans for any experiment or study to be conducted by the Depart- ment of Defense (whether directly or under contract) involving the use of human subjects for the testing of a chemical agent or a biological agent, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate and the Committee on National Security of the House of Representatives a report setting forth a full accounting of those plans, and the experiment or study may then be conducted only after the end of the 30- day period beginning on the date such report is received by those committees.

(e) BIOLOGICAL AGENT DEFINED.—In this section, the term ‘‘biological agent’’ means any micro-organism (including bacteria, viruses, fungi, rickettsiac, or protozoa), pathogen, or infectious sub- stance, and any naturally occurring, bioengineered, or synthesized component of any such micro-organism, pathogen, or infectious sub- stance, whatever its origin or method of production, that is capable of causing—

(1) death, disease, or other biological malfunction in a human, an animal, a plant, or another living organism;

(2) deterioration of food, water, equipment, supplies, or materials of any kind; or

(3) deleterious alteration of the environment. (f) REPORT AND CERTIFICATION.—Section 1703(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1994 (50 U.S.C. 1523(b)) is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

‘‘(9) A description of any program involving the testing of biological or chemical agents on human subjects that was carried out by the Department of Defense during the period covered by the report, together with—

‘‘(A) a detailed justification for the testing;

‘‘(B) a detailed explanation of the purposes of the testing;

‘‘(C) a description of each chemical or biological agent tested; and

‘‘(D) the Secretary’s certification that informed consent to the testing was obtained from each human subject in advance of the testing on that subject.’’.

(g) REPEAL OF SUPERSEDED PROVISION OF LAW.—Section 808 of the Department of Defense Appropriation Authorization Act, 1978 (50 U.S.C. 1520), is repealed.
