President Obama was watching on a TV screen as a commando gunned down Osama Bin Laden. Via a video camera fixed to the helmet of a U.S. Navy Seal, the leader of the free world saw the terror chief shot in the left eye. The Seal then carried out what is known in the military as a ‘double tap’ – shooting him again, probably in the chest, to make certain he was dead.

The footage of the battle in Bin Laden’s Pakistani hideout – relayed to the White House by satellite – is said to show one of his wives acting as a human shield to protect him as he blasted away with an AK47 assault rifle. She died, along with three other men, including one of Bin Laden’s sons. Within hours, the Al Qaeda leader’s body was buried  at sea.

World War Three?: 'Israeli jets prepare in Iraq to strike Iran'

 

Israeli jet fighters have reportedly conducted drills at a military base in Iraq in order to strike targets inside Iran.

A considerable number of Israeli warplanes were seen at al-Asad base in Iraq, reported a source close to prominent Iraqi cleric Muqtada al-Sader's group. The aircraft reportedly included F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22, and KC-10 jet fighters. The warplanes carried out their week-long exercises at nights, the same source added.

The drills were reportedly aimed at preparing to strike Iran's air defense systems, disrupt Iran's radars and attack targets deep inside Iran. Iraqi officials had not been notified of the exercises, which were conducted in collaboration with the US military. The United States maintains numerous bases in Iraq, and the Baghdad government is not involved in any of the military deployments taking place there.

The lies leading up to the invasion of Iraq (unfounded reports that Saddam Hussein's government had Weapons of Mass Destruction posing an immediate threat to the USA and its allies, nonsensical forged documents stating that the same government had tried to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger, and then the thesis copied and pasted from the Net - Colin Powell's "wonderful intelligence" from an MI6 clerk who fabricated a casus belli in ten seconds flat), the lies leading up to the invasion of Libya, and the untrue, unfounded and wholly undeserved demonology surrounding Muammar Al-Qathafi (terrorists being passed off as unarmed civilians) destroyed any thread of credibility these sources may have had.

Thus is the death of Usama bin Laden a replay of the "death" of Saddam Hussein? A false photograph circulated around the Internet of a bloodied face supposed to be that of Usama bin Laden. But it wasn't. Does it make any difference anyway? Not really. Al-Qaeda, as it exists, is a very loosely-organized and so far amateurish collection of motley wannabes who have trouble setting fire to their shoes or underpants in passenger aircraft. Let us be honest: if I wanted to, which I don't, I could do far more on my own with access to the type of money Al-Qaeda is supposed to have. The mind boggles as to how this group of incompetents pulled off a stint like 9/11...

Six wind farms were given six-figure payments to switch off their turbines because the Scottish grid network could not absorb all the energy being produced, it has emerged.

Research by the Renewable Energy Foundation (REF) found energy companies were paid a total of £900,000 for stopping the turbines for several hours between April 5 and 6 this year.
The REF said some of the payments were as high as 20 times the value of the electricity which would have been generated if the turbines kept running.

The National Grid makes constraint payments to power stations that agree to stop generating in order to stabilise the network. It happens when the grid system or a section of the system is unable to absorb all the electricity being generated, and some generators that are contracted to generate are asked to stand down.

The largest payments were made to Whitelee wind farm in East Renfrewshire, which was given over £300,000 in April 2011, and Farr wind farm, south of Inverness, which received over £260,000 in the same month.

Lindauer claims that Gaddafi was the fall guy and he was forced to cough up about 2.7 billion dollars in compensation for the 270 victims who died when a bomb planted on Pan Am flight 103 exploded on December 21, 1988 over the Scottish town of Lockerbie. Gaddafi paid the money in 2008 after admitting to a crime which he had not committed to save his country from the pangs of gruelling UN sanctions.
 
When Gaddafi improved relations with the West in the wake of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, US oil companies wasted no time in striking deals. But they withdrew last year, complaining about the huge kickbacks Gaddafi was demanding.

Justifying the Libyan leader's demand, Lindauer says, "Gaddafi took on the role of a modern-day Robin Hood, who insisted on replenishing his people for the costs they'd suffered under UN sanctions… You've got to admit that Gaddafi's attempt to balance the scales of justice demonstrated a flair of righteous nationalism."

Zionist Jews control America: Milwaukee to mark Israeli holidays

The Milwaukee Jewish community will mark Israel’s Day of Remembrance (Yom HaZikaron) and celebrate its Independence Day (Yom HaAtzmaut) with events on May 8 and 15. The events are sponsored by the Israel Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.

On May 8, “A Day of Remembrance” will be held at the JCC. Yom HaZikaron is Israel’s Memorial Day in honor of its fallen soldiers and victims of terror. This year’s ceremony will focus on honoring those who serve behind the scenes in Israel’s Intelligence Community. (See information below.)

The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a talk by former Mossad agent Moshe Ben-David. Ben-David served some years ago as emissary from Israel to Milwaukee. On May 2 at 7 p.m., a free screening of the Israeli film “The Debt”(2007) at the JCC will introduce the Mossad with a story of three young agents in search of a Nazi war criminal.

On May 15, an Israel Independence Day celebration will be held at the JCC. This will begin with a Walk for Israel at 2:30 p.m., as hundreds of supporters walk a short route on the North Shore, beginning at the east side of the JCC building.

The festivities will continue with a variety of family activities from 4-7 p.m., at the JCC, including a 4 p.m. concert with the Israeli group “The Peatot” followed by ethnic foods, a photo exhibit of organized trips to Israel by local groups, and activities for the whole family.

Every Wall Street firm has paid significant fines during the past decade for phony accounting, insider trading, securities fraud, Ponzi schemes, or outright embezzlement by CEOs. A massive insider-trading ring is currently on trial in New York, and has implicated some leading financial-industry figures. And it follows a series of fines paid by America’s biggest investment banks to settle charges of various securities violations.

There is, however, scant accountability. Two years after the biggest financial crisis in history, which was fueled by unscrupulous behavior by the biggest banks on Wall Street, not a single financial leader has faced jail. When companies are fined for malfeasance, their shareholders, not their CEOs and managers, pay the price. The fines are always a tiny fraction of the ill-gotten gains, implying to Wall Street that corrupt practices have a solid rate of return. Even today, the banking lobby runs roughshod over regulators and politicians.

Senator Pat Roberts just warned that an agro terrorism attack is likely, comparing the potential catastrophe to 9/11.

It’s consolidation’s exciting new method.

It certainly would get rid of those pesky ranchers unrelentingly demanding fairness in markets and would surely shut up those organic farmers and consumers trying to stop GMOs, especially transgenic alfalfa which has been linked to Foot and Mouth Disease, reported Professor Joe Cummins back in 2001.

UK: The NHS hospital where 80 per cent of babies have foreign mothers

Just one baby in five born in one NHS hospital has a British mother, new figures have revealed.

Of the 3,289 children born at Ealing Hospital, West London, in the past year, a remarkable 2,655 were to foreign nationals. The statistics – released following a Freedom of Information request by The Mail on Sunday also show that the maternity unit dealt witha total of 104 different nationalities in the 12 months to February.

These include 537 babies born to Indian mothers – the largest minority ethnic group – 389 Poles, 270 Sri Lankans, 260 Somalians, 200 Afghans and 208 Pakistanis. In contrast, of the 634 babies with British mothers, just three were from Wales and six from Scotland.

Maternity services at the hospital have been coming under increasing pressure, with a 20 per cent rise in births over the past five years, almost twice the national average. The hospital has had to take on 32 extra [Foriegn] midwives to cope with the boom, which saw 500 more babies delivered there last year than in 2006.

'Patients have lost access to hundreds of herbal medicines today, after European regulations came into force.

Sales of all herbal remedies, except for a small number of popular products for 'mild' illness such as echinacea for colds and St John's Wort for depression have been banned. For the first time traditional products must be licensed or prescribed by a registered herbal practitioner.

Some of the most  commonly used products were saved after the Health Secretary Andrew Lansley approved a plan for the Health Professions Council to establish a register of practitioners supplying unlicensed herbal medicines. However, many remedies were lost as it was only open to those who could afford the licensing process which costs between £80,000 to £120,000.'

Britain's highest-paid GP earned a staggering £665,000 last year from the NHS. The annual gross earnings, the highest-ever disclosed, are on top of more than £2 million the GP earned over the previous four financial years. The earnings were revealed by the Heart of Birmingham Teaching Primary Care Trust, but they refused to identify the GP, who runs two practices in the city.

The figures – revealed after a Freedom of Information request – highlight a new breed of high- earning doctors who critics say have benefited from a shake-up in health care contracts that has seen pay soar – but standards in some cases dropping.

The highest earners include two GPs working in Barnsley and Nottinghamshire who each earned more than £400,000. Colleagues in Wolverhampton and Essex earned £395,400 and £384,000 respectively, while GPs working in Oxfordshire, Derbyshire and Dudley in the West Midlands all enjoyed earnings of more than £300,000. Dozens of other doctors declared earnings in excess of £200,000. Some trusts had particularly high numbers of big earners.
