So HOW can there be only 6 people with a Worldwide top security clearance? From what nations and what has security got to do with it? Destructive Neoliberal Austerity

Instead of vitally needed stimulus, Washington and European governments dictate austerity. The pretext of deficit reduction is being used to transfer more wealth to those already with too much, plus the usual canard over the urgency to save national banking systems.

In other words, make ordinary people bear the burden of bailing out banking giants responsible for the severest economic crisis since the Great Depression. How? The usual IMF solution, involving preservation of capital at the expense of workers - a package including wage and benefit cuts, less social spending, privatization of state resources, mass layoffs, deregulation, lower "onerous" taxes, maintaining corporate debt service, and harsh crackdowns against resisters.

In the 1980s, it was called Reaganomics, trickle down, and Thatcherism. Today it's destructive "shock therapy" called austerity, the same scheme pitting capital against people - disposable workers tossed out for big money's gain.

It's how predatory capitalism works, destructively for so many to enrich an elite few - snake oil peddled as an economic elixir, corrupted politicians and central bankers forcing harmful policies that, in fact, don't work.

Three years of failure showed imposed measures have hurt, not helped, and the longer they continue, the more sickness will spread and deepen, causing imposed poverty. It's why independent experts see long-term depression, rising unemployment, human deprivation, and bigger than ever bonuses for bankers until the inevitable house of cards collapses. We see him here, we see him there, we see him everywhere -- everywhere funds need to be raised to feed starving children, to bring clean water to those without, to create homes and habitats for those in need, to help rescue the victims of flood or famine. 

Pop singer Morrissey was scathing in his assessment of Bob Geldof's role in the Band Aid concert in 1985, a show which produced the bleeding heart weeper entitled "Do They Know It's Christmas?".

Brian Johnson, lead singer of AC/DC, said people like Geldof should dip into their own bank accounts, like the members of AC/DC do, and give without fanfare, rather than becoming pop impresarios of poverty.

Michel Chussodovsky, scathingly dissected Geldof's role in this financial charade:Most casual observers  might assume that the money generated by corporate sponsors, DVD sales, performance royalties, and direct contributions would be funneled into various charitable organizations aiding the poorest people of developing nations around the world.  They would be wrong.

Instead, as Chussodovsky illustrates, the money was instead used to pay off the corporate creditors of indebted countries.  In effect, the ENTIRE focus of the money generated by Live 8 was to provide direct assistance to corporations owed money by these impoverished nations. 

As if that were not sufficiently outrageous, it gets worse!   The same monetary amounts contributed by Live 8 to these private corporations to provide more relief to them for the money they had lent to these impoverished nations was then deducted from the direct aid packages and social service programs formerly contributed by the G8 to these countries. 

As Chussodovsky clearly states:  "For each dollar of 'debt cancellation' to the international financial institutions, the G8 will reduce the flow of foreign aid to these countries. In other words, the foreign aid earmarked to finance much needed social programs will now go directly into the coffers of the IMF and the World Bank."

Moreover, the International Monetary Fund and The World Bank and The African Development Bank never forgive their debts!  So what was being promoted around the world as a way to help 18 of the poorest countries on the planet was actually a covert exercise in paying off international financial institutions for aid they had previously lent these nations, while guaranteeing the reduction of the same amount in future funding for these very programs!

In effect, Live 8 was a gigantic propaganda piece and financial con to repay private institutions and their friends at The IMF and World Bank.  Live 8 acted as a direct reimbursement process for the creditors of the 18 poorest countries on the planet, while further binding these countries, their industries and exports, to the future predations of The World Bank and IMF. 

This allowed them to impose even more social control on their political processes by insisting on "democratic reforms" commensurate with same sort the West has imposed on Iraq and Afghanistan, thereby allowing Western governments to control the election process and the officials who will come to power in these countries while insisting on "free market reforms," all of which does nothing more than to diminish their sovereignty while transferring ever more socio-political control to nations outside these countries.  This arrangement also makes it impossible for these countries to default on their debt, perpetually keeping them on the cycle or debt repayment and financial servitude.

People like Bob Geldof have latched their star to this globalist charade, enjoying the fame and royalty income which their appearance on world-wide television provides, while at the same time turning a cynically blind eye to the financial sleight of hand going on behind the scenes which does nothing more than to keep these countries and peoples mired in poverty while reducing the social services these countries so desperately need.

European Debt Union: Ireland in Euro Cage

Union fury over council Christmas job cuts

Union leaders expressed fury today at the latest threat to thousands of council workers' jobs, warning that Christmas was being "ruined" by the Government's spending cuts. Unite said that Bradford City Council has put thousands of workers at risk of redundancy under plans to axe a quarter of its workforce.

Letters have been issued to its entire workforce placing them at risk of redundancy, with the council planning to lose 2,000 jobs, said Unite. The union demanded that the council retracts the notice and plans to hold a meeting with its members to discuss the next steps to oppose the threat to jobs.

Regional officer Ray Jones said: "This is a callous and totally unwarranted act by the council. The needless distress caused to at least 10,000 workers so close to Christmas is simply unacceptable and Unite is demanding that the council retracts the letter immediately.

"It is bad enough that the council intends to make 2,000 staff redundant but it has gone even further and ruined Christmas for its entire workforce who now don't know whether they have a job in the New Year or not.

The Chancellor George Osborne has conceded that it would be "better for Britain" to stick to international rules on regulating bank bonuses rather than impose its own restrictions.

UK-Israeli Trade Up in Defiance of Public

Government Loses Bid to Keep 7/7 Evidence Secret

'Home Secretary Theresa May has lost a legal bid to force the inquest into the 2005 London bombings to hear secret evidence behind closed doors.

Justice Heather Hallett, who is overseeing the inquests into the deaths of the 52 people killed in the suicide attacks, ruled earlier this month that she could not hear evidence detailing sensitive intelligence material in closed session.

A 'shameless' Romanian gipsy who stole at least £113,000 in benefits to fund a life of luxury has been jailed for three years. Illie Schian, 47, bought sports cars, motorcycles, quad bikes and electrical goods with money he received from British hand-outs.

Using taxpayers’ cash, he even built his family a nine-bedroom mansion in Romania, complete with marbled floors, a spa bath, servants’ quarters and two kitchens filled with modern appliances. He is also accused of involvement in a people-smuggling ring that sent around 180 children to Britain to beg and steal.

The fraudster amassed a £20,000 nest egg in a Romanian bank account before he was finally caught by police. Schian, from Enfield, North London, applied for political asylum under an assumed name when he arrived in the UK 11 years ago, claiming he had been persecuted in Romania because he is a gipsy.

He was granted indefinite leave to remain in the country, but he proceeded to fleece British taxpayers out of tens of thousands in job seekers’ allowance, child benefit and housing benefit before he was arrested in July this year.

A leading Israeli airport security expert says the Canadian government has wasted millions of dollars to install "useless" imaging machines at airports across the country.

"I don't know why everybody is running to buy these expensive and useless machines. I can overcome the body scanners with enough explosives to bring down a Boeing 747," Rafi Sela told parliamentarians probing the state of aviation safety in Canada.

"That's why we haven't put them in our airport," Sela said, referring to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, which has some of the toughest security in the world.

Sela, former chief security officer of the Israel Airport Authority and a 30-year veteran in airport security and defence technology, helped design the security at Ben Gurion.

CPS: Child Protectors or Pimps?

"The Adoption and the Safe Families Act, set in motion by President Bill Clinton, offers cash "bonuses" to the states for every child they adopted out [to] foster care. In order to receive the "adoption incentive bonuses" local child protective services need more children. They must have merchandise (children) that sell and you must have plenty of them so the buyer can choose. Some counties are known to give a $4,000 [payment for] each child not returned to their family".

That's incentive to CPS workers to extract children and block all family members who might qualify for guardianship.  The Clinton act also pays bonuses if the child has traits that are in greater demand - such as blond hair and blue eyes.  That's a fact.   To get this money the CPS worker has to 'close the sale' with an adoption to an unrelated 3rd party.   It doesn't matter who that party is, as long as they're not related to the child. Well qualified grandparents are routinely denied custody because the Fed doesn't pay CPS for that.'

The governor of Ireland's central bank, Patrick Honohan, said yesterday that he expected the country to accept a bail-out worth tens of billions of euros from the EU and the IMF. This "large loan", as he accurately described it, would enable Ireland to show the world that it had "sufficient firepower to deal with any concerns of the market". Actually, what the proposed loan demonstrates is that Ireland is losing its sovereignty, a painful prospect indeed for such a proud nation. Hence an extraordinary editorial in yesterday's Irish Times, asking whether "this is what the men of 1916 died for", and bewailing Ireland's "shameful" loss of independence.

Although no final decision has been reached, the republic is clearly moving towards accepting funds that will stabilise the Irish banking system, now inextricably connected to the state. "Substantial" was another adjective used by Mr Honohan to describe the sum of money yesterday – and who can disagree? The loans will be equal to 80 per cent of Irish GDP.

Whether this situation is "shameful" is a matter of opinion; but it was certainly predictable. Twenty years ago, Eurosceptics argued that Britain would lose its sovereignty in just this fashion if it was foolhardy enough to join a single currency. We kept out, which meant that, when the time came to administer nasty medicine to our economy, at least the prescription was written in Westminster rather than Brussels – and at a time of our choosing. Ireland, in contrast, is being pushed by the EU into a rescue deal earlier than is strictly necessary, in order to stop the contagion of bad debt spreading to Portugal and Spain. Greece, meanwhile, has had its economic powers confiscated and is now an EU protectorate.

Overtime pay at Christmas axed: It discriminates against the other religions, say care home bosses

A chain of care homes is refusing to pay its staff overtime this Christmas – claiming that it would discriminate against other religions. The firm said it had an ‘ethical belief in equality’ which means it cannot favour Christmas over ‘other religious festivals’. Staff were told that it would only pay bonuses for bank holidays, which rules out Christmas Day and Boxing Day this year because they fall at the weekend.

Scores of care workers who provide 24-hour care for the elderly were told of the pay arrangements during recent meetings with Guinness Care and Support. One member of staff said:

‘We have learned that senior head office management have decided that all staff who work on Christmas Day and Boxing Day will be paid standard, flat-rate wages with no bonuses whatsoever.‘The management themselves are on two weeks’ [Paid] annual leave. It has come as a shock and left us all stunned.

Liberal Democrat Business Secretary Vince Cable: Election Promises Not Binding

'Liberal Democrat Business Secretary Vince Cable has claimed his party broke no pledge by approving tuition fee rises as the election promises were not binding.

Cable insisted that Lib Dems remain trustworthy even after reneging on one of the key elements of their election manifesto to prevent any tuition hikes by supporting the move to almost triple fees from £3,290 to £9,000 a year. He tried to justify the reversal of policy saying signing the pledge has been a wrong “political judgment.”

Cable told the BBC One's Politics Show that Lib Dems “haven't betrayed anybody” as the only binding agreement they had was the coalition deal with the Tories.'

Pregnant again, the mother with five children in care who vows to keep having babies until she gets a council house

An unemployed benefits claimant whose five children were all taken into care has vowed to continue having babies until she is granted a council house. Lavine Samma, 27, is now pregnant with her sixth child by three different men and fully expects the baby to be taken from her by social services at birth, just like the last three infants. Since 2002, the feckless mother has given birth to three boys and two girls and doesn't even know who the father is of one.
 

She does not work and rakes in around £600 a month in benefits. But Miss Samma claimed yesterday that it was her 'human right as a woman to have children' and vowed to continue falling pregnant until the local authority moved her from her 16th floor inner-city council flat to a 'proper council house'.

When the Daily Mail called just before 11am yesterday Miss Samma was just about awake but still in bed. Nevertheless, she quickly warmed to her theme.

'I'm not a priority for a house because I don't have children with me, but if I had children in my care I would be', she said.

'If they keep taking them away from me I will just keep having them. Again and again and again!'

Miss Samma, who lives in a tower block in Newtown, Birmingham, with Jamaican asylum-seeker boyfriend Damien Sewell, lost her first two children - a girl and a boy - in March 2006, when social services were tipped off that she had been neglecting the elder child, then aged three and a half.

Bailing out the ailing Irish economy to the tune of billions is in Britain's 'national interest', George Osborne insisted today. The Chancellor described Ireland as a 'friend in need' as he defended plans to pay more than £7billion into an international bailout worth up to £85billion.

British taxpayers will be landed with an increase in the colossal debt burden - already £952billion - at a time of desperate cost cutting. They will be stung three times because Ireland will receive funds from the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and direct loans from Britain.

The £7.5billion liability for British taxpayers is the equivalent of £288 for every household in the UK. If Ireland were to default on its debts, losses of around £5billion on toxic bank debts held by Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group would push the liability to British taxpayers up to £12.5billion - though the bailout should prevent that happening.

Critics argue Britain should not be involved in propping up a currency it does not support but Mr Osborne said today: '"I told you so" is not much of an economic policy.' He told the BBC: 'What we have committed to do is to be partners, as shareholders in the International Monetary Fund, in an international rescue of the Irish economy.

What does your MP do for you?

Going to your MP is something that people rarely do except when in some sort of trouble or are needing a voice for their campaign, so when Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West office was recently approached by this site we had a meeting in terms of a face to face interview in his office with his office manager, promising to get back within a week, well that was back in September.

While speaking about this to his manager, she displayed some extremely uncomfortable body language, actually apologising at one point for her actions, which was very strange, given the topic in discussion.

Unfortunately we have been looking over at the Children Have Rights In Society website that names and shames the peodophiles in various areas, we found an article relating to the Leeds Constituency which Greg Mulholland MP is supposed to represent. In the article as the peodophile was being sentenced it does mention that letters were written on his behalf for the Court by Greg Mulholland MP - which is not only disturbing but highlights that this man is extremely dangerous and should not be in office, as either he is supporting peodophiles and their COMMON PURPOSE or he is simply incompetent.

'I only hope to God this policeman is never put in charge of prisoners again', says woman injured in custody suite as Sergeant is cleared

A woman dragged across a police station floor before being thrown into a cell by a sergeant – who has now been cleared of assaulting her – says she believes he should never be put in charge of prisoners again.

Pamela Somerville said Sergeant Mark Andrews’ acquittal on appeal last week appeared to show there was ‘one rule for the police and another for members of the public’. But she hoped the high-profile coverage of her ordeal would prevent similar cases happening elsewhere.

In a case highlighted by The Mail on Sunday, Sgt Andrews was captured on CCTV footage from the police station dragging Ms Somerville, 59, across the floor before throwing her in a cell. Andrews, 37, who joined Wiltshire Police eight years ago after serving in the Army, was sentenced to six months in prison in September after being found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was cleared on appeal last week but now faces an internal disciplinary inquiry.

The full extent of the police and criminal prosecution powers that the European Union has over British citizens can be revealed today. A Mail on Sunday investigation has uncovered an alarming array of new EU controls over justice and home affairs for which no one has voted, and most are unknown to the public.
These include:

• Europol, the £60 million-a-year European criminal intelligence agency, whose officers have diplomatic immunity.
• An 800-strong paramilitary police force called the European Gendarmerie Force. 
• The European Arrest Warrant, which now allows British citizens to be seized in the UK and sent without appeal to foreign jails for months or years without bail while awaiting trial.

Europol now has more than 650 officials at its headquarters in The Hague, from where it directs investigations across Europe.
